“How did you find Mariart?

I found Mariart on internet after having searched for makeup programs in Stockholm. Mariart was the first that came up. I looked at their website and got hooked immediately.

 

Why did you choose to be educated at Mariart?

Already at the first conversation with Maria (headmistress at the school) I got a really good feeling which only grew stronger after my first visit to their wonderful facilities. No one can miss the luxurious feel that is mixed with a lovely homelike feeling. The school had exactly what I wanted.

 

What was the best thing with your education?

The best thing with my education was all my interactions with such wonderful people. The nice atmosphere between students and teachers as well as all the incredible inspiration the teachers have given me. They have great passion for their profession and are generous in sharing their knowledge!

I stepped in through their front door every morning with as big a smile as on the first day!

 

Which job/assignment or practical work was the most fun to do?

My most delightful practical work was when we went to SKHLM and did makeup on models before a fashion exhibition which took place in the mall. We also installed makeup stations where we made customers look neater the whole day as well as giving them a lot of advice and answering questions about makeup. An unbelievable day which have me a lot of experience and security. 

To receive such a positive response from the visitors felt really fantastic!

 

What is your strongest memory from Mariart?

My strongest memory from the course was the portfolio photoshoot, I LOVED that day!It was so awesome to see how far I had come since day one. To be able to work with a real photographer and wonderful models was so enjoying.

 

How do you perceive the response from the industry to you having been educated at Mariart?

I feel that people and companies in the industry know of Mariart and think of them positively.

 

Are you satisfied with your education and if you are, why?

I am more than satisfied with my education and would undoubtedly recommend the school to those who would like to receive a professional education as well as an indescribable experience! To be able to do what you love most is invaluable!

I searched the internet and found Mariart. I thought that everything with it seemed great and serious.

 

Why did you choose to be educated at Mariart?

After searching the internet for the school which seamed to be the best, I visited Mariart and spoke with the headmistress Maria Nyström. Everything felt great and I liked the concept. I felt that this was the school which suited me and my demands the best.

 

What was the best thing regarding your education?

I think that it was a thorough education where one felt that you were afforded a lot of knowledge and great assistance. I think the teachers were fantastically competent, great with tutoring and mentoring. It was also great that the teachers themselves were active and freelancing makeup artists. Through that one was afforded a lot of tips about the industry. It was of course also fun that there were great classmates and a delightful atmosphere.

 

Which internship was the most fun to do?   

I have had so many fun things to do. Everything from photo shoots to fashion exhibitions. One of the most enjoyable fashion shows were when we did makeup and hair styling for the designer “Julien Fournies” exhibition at Blå hallen. That felt huge!

The photo shoot for the album cover of the winner of Idol was also fun to be a part of.

 

What is your strongest memory from Mariart?

I have a lot of beautiful memories from Mariart. From all the fun internships we got to do to have happy I was when I finished the course with top grades.

 

How do you perceive the response from the industry to you having been educated at Mariart?

Very positive! I have gotten the feeling that it is a “recognized” great school.

 

Are you satisfied with your education and if you are, why?

I am superbly satisfied and would without a doubt recommend Mariart to everyone who is thinking about educating themselves within makeup. It is serious, have great teachers and affords really good internship possibilities. The web of contacts which Mariart has is really big, which is very important in this industry. I definitely think that it is one of Sweden’s best schools.”

I heard good things from people around me and that the education plan was wide in it’s scope.

 

What was the best thing with your education?

To be able to be thoroughly educated within makeup.  Enjoyable classes. Good and pleasant harmony between students and teachers.


Which internship was the most fun to do?   

The chance to be able to do makeup for The Voice Sweden, TV4 etc. There were many internships which were fun, so it is difficult to choose something in particular. We also go to do a lot of enjoyable photo shoots.

 

What is your strongest memory from Mariart?

I think it is when we did our final exam because you were so nervous. But it went really great and it was nice to see that one could complete it in such short of time as well.  The class “bodypaint” was also very fun as you were allowed to be really creative.

 

How do you perceive the response from the industry to you having been educated at Mariart?

After the education I immediately got a job as a makeup artist for Esteé Lauder via Mariart’s agency. I have also worked with the brand Clinique. Right now I am working as a store manager at Makeup store.

When you mention Mariart you get a great reaction from people, they have heard much positive things. It was great that the course was a bit longer than in a lot other schools as it takes some time getting into the makeup.

 

Are you satisfied with your education and if you are, why?

I am very satisfied with my education because I learned so much in only 4 months. I enrolled in both the makeup and hair stylist courses and it was really intense but very fun and rewarding. The lessons were varied and you got to learn many different techniques and makeups. Because the education was also a bit longer you got a chance to find the direction which you liked. 

I am really happy that I chose Mariart and can wholeheartedly recommend this education.”

I searched for information on internet about different makeup/hair education programs. I read blogs and other peoples posts of what they thought about the schools and if they had thrived.

 

Why did you choose to be educated at Mariart?

After I had read and heard about a lot of schools I felt that Mariart seemed to be the right school for me, both educationally but also product wise. I feel this to this day and I have not regretted my decision for one second. 

 
What was the best thing with your education?

The best thing with the education has been all the different internship possibilities which the school has offered. Without the internships I am convinced I would not have entered in to the profession as fast as I did.

 

Which internship was the most fun to do?   

My internship as a assistant to Sarah Grundén for the making of Tove Lo´s music video Talking Body is by far the most enjoyable I’ve done professionally. It was really fun and incredibly teaching.

 

What is your strongest memory from Mariart?

One of my strongest memories is maybe not that difficult to guess – The first day at school, when you were nervous, tense and happy to finally get started. To then be given your own bag and go though all the products and hurry home to play and get a feel for everything was so fun. But the final exam is also an incredibly strong memory, because we went through all the creative tumultuousness and joy together.

 

How do you perceive the response from the industry to you having been educated at Mariart?

It has been a positive response. A lot of students at other schools have envied us being assigned to so many internships and really getting a foothold in the industry. 

 

Are you satisfied with your education and if you are, why?

I am so happy that I chose Mariart. It has gone really fast from when the course started to being done with it and having started your own business/ started working. And the professional work opportunities have arrived immediately. My time at Mariart have given me incredibly great teachers, a well-planned education plan, follow-up, feedback and attentiveness. It has been a great atmosphere and the facilities have appealed to everyone. In addition, Emité is a really good brand,  with products which are easy to work with and strong pigments.

“How did you find Mariart?

I had long thought about educating myself to become a makeup artist and had periods when I searched the internet for the school I should choose. The schools I first found were nothing which suited my interest. When it was finally time to decide I sat down and read through reviews in different forums and noticed that Mariart was mentioned regularly and that everyone had positive things to say.  So I searched for the website and thought that everything seemed super serious and genuine.

 

Why did you choose to be educated at Mariart?

The reasons for me choosing Mariart was that I found that the school was more about being serious and genuine than screaming loudest and getting most students enrolled. Mariart comes a long way on it´s good reputation alone.  Also, I very much liked the idea of having different teachers in the different orientations which gave you an unbeatable wide-ranging education. The cost was also adequate for me, it seemed to be a safe choice in other words. It was also nice to be taught how to get started and managing your own business.

What was the best thing with your education?

The best thing with my education was maybe that everything was really meticulous. Everything from how one planed and structured to the makeup and how you implemented them.  Being meticulous with cleaning and tidying up afterwards also felt serious and professional.  Hygiene and cleanliness is something which I also carry with me from my time at Mariart and is something which is appreciated at my freelance jobs.

Which internship was the most fun to do?   

Rebecca and Fiona’s music video “Holler” is one of the most enjoyable things I have done.  To then get the chance to assist Elva Ahlbin has been both rewarding and a learning experience. Also my own work at “Sweden’s sexiest man 2013” with Veckorevyn is something that I remember fondly. The thing I am most proud of is my campaign-work with Resteröds which is on display at all JC stores in Sweden right now. 

What is your strongest memory from Mariart?

Besides all the class mates which you really got to know well, I especially remember my work at Viking Line. When I think of Mariart it is the facilities which first comes to mind, as well as all the classes we had where were gathered and got afforded so much knowledge. It was an exciting time!

It was during my time at high school. I went to “De La Gardie” in Lidköping where my orientation was skin and beauty. There we utilized Emeite Makeup at our makeup lessons.

Why did you choose to be educated at Mariart?

To me it was an obvious choice to educate myself further within makeup. I wanted to be a certified makeup artist. I thought that no other school were up to my demands so Mariart was an obvious choice.

 

What was the best thing with your education?Among other things to meet so many different new persons, to be able to share my passion and to progress as I got to work in collaboration with so many creative people.

Which internship was the most fun to do?   

When I went at Mariart it was by far being able to able work with Corinne and the photographer Bingo Rimér at Loréal. My internships at TV3 and TV3 were also vety rewading. These contacts gave me a path directly in to the industry and lead to more jobs after my education.

What is your strongest memory from Mariart?All the internships we got to do.

 

How do you perceive the response from the industry to you having been educated at Mariart?

Only positive, they see school exactly as I do. Professional with great quality. I recommend Mariart every time someone asks about my education.

 

Are you satisfied with your education and if you are, why?

It was an obvious choice for me from the beginning and I do not regret a single day. Without the education I would not have been were I am today. If I got to choose I would like to do it all once again.”
